Blackstar’s unique MOSFET preamp design creates an accurate valve amp tone based on Blackstar’s award-winning higher-end tube amplifiers like the HT40. MOSFETs offer faster switching speeds, lower conduction losses, and simpler drive circuitry and produce overdrive tones like tubes.Â
The patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) is unique to Blackstar and allows you to choose the exact tones you prefer. Fully counter-clockwise produces more American tonal characteristics with a tight bottom end and an aggressive mid-range. Fully clockwise produces British tone characteristics with more woody and less aggressive tones.
Additional features include 2 footswitchable channels, power reduction down to 5 Watts, series effects loop and custom-voiced digital reverb with Plate and Hall options.
